And now, Character art for Machine Wars Optimus Prime!
I cant exactly explain why, but the Machine Wars line has always been kinda special to me. Maybe its the fact that its so mysterious, so short. You dont really know what it coulda been. But I do like that Optimus, this time around, wasnt quite the same Optimus we all knew from before. No more chest windows and the big red and blue color scheme was toned down a bit. They even added some green to the mix! And of course, this was the first time Optimus Prime was ever sans his iconic faceplate!
Definitely not your old run of the mill "geewun" Optimus here! Which is probably the biggest reason I find him so fascinating!

This is fantastic artwork and colours of MW Optimus Prime. I remember long ago when I was young I bought this toy and loved it to bits even though it wasn't your G1 Optimus though it had many good qualities to his toy and his character which I didn't know much about. I still have the toy but sadly it's the trailer only and I lost the rest of his pieces. I'm interesting to see how this project MW series develops and glad to see people take a great interest in it to stay alive. All the best to the team!
